PL & LTL 2024: The 9th International Symposium on Pedagogical Lexicography and L2 Teaching and Learning
< Lexicography and Knowledge Services in the Age of AIGC >
The 9th International Symposium on Pedagogical Lexicography and Second Language Teaching and Learning (PL & LTL 2024) will be held from October 25 to 27, 2024 in Wuhan, China. PL & LTL 2024 centers on the evolving relationship among lexicography, L2 teaching and learning, and knowledge services in the dynamic Age of AI-Generated Content (AIGC). It is dedicated to promoting international dialogue on the latest advancements, emerging challenges, and future trends in pedagogical lexicography in an increasingly digital and post-dictionary world. The symposium will feature contributions by world-renowned academics, promoting dialogues among top lexicography theorists, practitioners, and publishers from both China and around the world.
II. Theme
In line with the overarching theme, “Lexicography and Knowledge Services in the Age of AIGC”, we invite submissions of high-quality empirical and theoretical research papers that cover a broad spectrum of topics, including but not limited to:
1. Pedagogical lexicography and language technologies (esp. use of Chatbots in dictionary-making)
2. Dictionary-integrated L2 pedagogy: theory and practice
3. Lexicography in the context of convergence media: theory and practice
4. Dictionary and dissemination of linguistic and non-linguistic knowledge
5. Reports on lexicographical and lexicological projects
II. Timeline
1. Deadline for abstract submission: March 31, 2024
2. Notification of abstract acceptance: May 31, 2024
3. Deadline for full paper submission: August 30, 2024
4. Date of the conference: October 25-27, 2024 (Onsite Registration: October 24)

第九届学习词典与二语教学国际研讨会
第九届学习词典与二语教学国际研讨会将于2024年10月25日至27日在华中农业大学举办。本次研讨会将聚焦AIGC(人工智能自动生成内容)时代背景下的学习词典编纂、二语教学与跨语言知识服务等问题,旨在促进中外学界对“后词典时代”学习词典编纂面临的新变化、新挑战与创新路径展开研讨。会议将邀请国内外知名学者与会,促成词典理论研究者、编纂者与出版者以及中国学者与国际学者之间的对话与交流,推进中外“学习辞书数字化研究共同体”交流与互鉴。
一、会议主题
本次会议的主题为“AIGC时代的学习词典编纂与知识服务”,欢迎国内外词典研究者、出版者等同仁围绕如下主要议题提交论文:
